UAE Team ADQ closed out an unforgettable Tour de France Femmes 2025 with pride and success, emerging as one of the standout teams of the race despite a series of setbacks at the start.
The final day began with another withdrawal for the team, as Australian rider Brodie Chapman was forced to abandon due to illness. That left just three riders in the race: Maeva Squiban, Dominika Wlodarczyk, and Lara Gillespie.
The ninth and final stage covered 124.1 km from Praz-sur-Arly to Châtel Les Portes du Soleil – a tough mountain test, perfect for long-range attacks. Dutch legend Anna van der Breggen went on the offensive from the very start, only to be reeled in on the Col du Corbier by a select group including UAE Team ADQ’s Dominika Wlodarczyk, yellow jersey Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, Kasia Niewiadoma, Demi Vollering, Juliette Labous, and Niamh Fisher-Black.
Wlodarczyk stayed with the elite group until the final kilometers, when Vollering launched an attack, followed by a devastating move from Ferrand-Prévot, who powered away to claim her second consecutive stage win and secure the yellow jersey.
Wlodarczyk crossed the line in fifth place, which was enough to move her up to fourth in the general classification – an outstanding achievement in her very first Tour de France Femmes.
Maeva Squiban finished inside the top 15 overall and was awarded the prize for the most combative rider of the entire race, a well-deserved recognition of her relentless spirit and aggressive racing throughout the nine days.
With two stage victories, one podium finish, a special award, and the emergence of two major new talents on the women’s cycling scene, UAE Team ADQ leaves the Tour with immense satisfaction and confidence for the future.

Rider quotes
Dominika Wlodarczyk: “I can’t believe it. I don’t even know how I managed to stay with the best. I knew I was in good shape and had prepared well, but I never imagined I could go this far. It’s been a steady build-up day by day. We lost Elisa (Longo Borghini) early on, then Gaspa (Gasparrini) and Karlijn (Swinkels), who were all key riders. But then came Lara’s podium, Maeva’s two amazing stage wins, and now this fourth place overall for me… it feels like a dream. Thanks to my teammates and all the staff – we’ve been amazing.”
Maeva Squiban: “This Tour de France Femmes has been incredible. We were really unlucky at the start, but the four of us who remained united, fought every day, and built something beautiful together. Winning the combativity award on the day of my home stage in Brittany was already a dream. The two stage wins were something totally unexpected. Maybe I haven’t fully processed everything yet, but I’m definitely happy and proud of the team we are.”
