UAE Team ADQ secured a strong start at the opening stage of the Tour de Pologne Women, finishing with two riders in the Top 10.
The 101 km stage from Lublin to Zamość ended in a fast bunch sprint after solid teamwork from the UAE Team ADQ squad. Sofia Bertizzolo crossed the line in 7th place, followed closely by home rider Dominika Wlodarczyk in 10th.
Victory on the day went to Chiara Consonni (Canyon//SRAM Zondacrypto), who also claimed the first leader’s jersey of the race.
Tomorrow, the peloton faces Stage 2 from Chełm to Chełm, covering 100 kilometres, offering another opportunity for the sprinters to shine.
