Eleonora Gasparrini extends with UAE Team ADQ until 2028

Fresh from her magnificent victory yesterday in Germany at the Women’s Cycling Grand Prix Stuttgart & Region, Eleonora Gasparrini, 23, has signed a contract extension with UAE Team ADQ until the end of the 2028 season.

The talented Italian rider has collected six UCI wins in her career, five of which have come in the past three years wearing the Emirati team’s jersey. During this time, she has gained valuable experience, often working in support of the team leaders while also achieving important personal milestones, such as the Italian national champion’s jersey and a bronze medal at the 2024 U23 European Championships.

In 2025, before yesterday’s triumph, Gasparrini had already raised her arms in victory at the Grand Prix du Morbihan Femmes in May. More importantly, she has delivered a series of consistent performances and results in prestigious races such as Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, narrowly missing the podium at both Brabantse Pijl and Plouay. She also played a key role within the team that supported Elisa Longo Borghini on her way to winning the Giro d’Italia Women.

These results confirm that Eleonora Gasparrini has become a leader in certain types of races and a highly reliable rider. For this reason, UAE Team ADQ has decided to extend her contract until 2028.

“For me, it was a natural choice,” explained Eleonora Gasparrini. “It’s the continuation of a journey that has accompanied me over the past three years, because I believe I’m in the right place to keep growing, gaining experience, and achieving important goals. I see this as a new opportunity in my career, to take another step forward and turn my potential into something meaningful.”

This decision comes after months full of satisfaction. “We are heading toward the end of a very positive season for both myself and the whole team. I’m really happy with what we’ve been able to achieve, but above all with the group that we’ve built. It’s truly special to work with and for teammates like mine,” the Italian added.

“In this team I have found the best possible support, and I’m aware that I still need to work hard to improve. Looking ahead, I’d like to further develop my climbing ability in order to become even more competitive on certain types of courses,” concluded Gasparrini.

Melissa Moncada, President of UAE Team ADQ, commented: “Eleonora Gasparrini is a very important member of our team. She joined us three years ago as a very young but already determined rider. Over the years we’ve seen her grow and mature, both as an athlete and as a woman. She has achieved significant personal results but has also been crucial in many team victories. Our paths could only continue together. We strongly believe in her talent, which is why we wanted to build a long-term project with her.”
