UAE Team ADQ riders were once again among the main protagonists at the UCI Road World Championships in the Mixed Relay Team Time Trial, a unique event featuring 3 men and 3 women, raced over a demanding 41.8 km course in Kigali.
One year on, it’s once again Australia – and once again Brodie Chapman – who take the rainbow jersey, stopping the clock at 54:30 with an impressive average speed of 46.018 km/h. France, with Maeva Squiban, claimed the silver medal just 5 seconds behind, while Switzerland completed the podium only 10 seconds adrift.
Italy, with Federica Venturelli, secured 4th place, while Spain, with Paula Blasi, finished 6th.
For UAE Team ADQ, it’s another remarkable achievement in an outstanding season: just three days after Erica Magnaldi’s victory in the Gravel European Championships, the team can now also celebrate a World Champion’s jersey thanks to Brodie Chapman’s triumph in Kigali.
