Another medal arrived to close a positive day for UAE Team ADQ at the European Track Championships in Konya, Turkey, confirming the team’s strong presence on the continental stage.
After Federica Venturelli’s silver medal in the individual pursuit earlier in the evening, the last session of the day brought a well-deserved bronze medal for Sofie van Rooijen in the Points Race.
The Dutch rider delivered a solid and intelligent race, finishing third with 33 points, behind the new European Champion Lotte Kopecky (Belgium, 45 points) and Victoire Berteau (France, 38 points).
This podium result represents an important milestone for van Rooijen, who continues to show encouraging signs of growth. Combined with her third place in the sprint achieved last week in Mallorca, the bronze medal in Konya confirms that the UAE Team ADQ sprinter is steadily returning to a high competitive level after a very challenging 2025 season.
