The Giro d’Italia Women 2026 will take place from May 30 to June 7 and will feature nine stages covering a total of 1,183.7 kilometres and 12,300 metres of elevation gain. The route will cross much of Northern Italy with stages suited to sprinters, an uphill individual time trial to Nevegal, a demanding stage from Longarone to Santo Stefano di Cadore and two decisive Alpine stages in Piedmont featuring the Colle delle Finestre and summit finishes in Sestriere and Saluzzo, which could prove crucial for the overall classification.
After last year’s victory, reigning champion Elisa Longo Borghini will once again lead UAE Team ADQ. Alongside her will be Silvia Persico, Mavi Garcia, Eleonora Gasparrini, Alena Amialiusik, Erica Magnaldi and Lara Gillespie for the sprint stages.
On Thursday, May 28 at 18:00, a press conference with the team riders will take place at the Hotel Mediterraneo in Riccione.
