Another medal has arrived for one of UAE Development Team‘s rising stars. German rider Magdalena Leis claimed the silver medal in the Women’s Under 23 Individual Time Trial at the German National Championships.
The talented 18-year-old delivered an impressive performance over the 26.2-kilometre course in Streufdorf, finishing second behind Justyna Czapla (Canyon//SRAM), who stopped the clock in 35:26. Leis crossed the line 40 seconds later, while Messane Bräutigam (AG Insurance Soudal Devo Team) completed the podium in third place, 51 seconds behind the winner.
The Belgian National Individual Time Trial Championships also took place today, with Lotte Claes (Fenix-Deceuninck) taking victory in the Elite Women’s race over the 20.7-kilometre course around Etikhove.
Representing UAE Team ADQ, Febe Jooris produced a solid performance to finish eighth, 48 seconds behind the winner.
