The 2026 UEC Gravel European Championships took place today in Houffalize, Belgium.
The Italian rider from UAE Team L’IMAD lined up aiming to defend the European title she won one year ago. After a demanding and challenging race, she eventually finished in seventh place.
The European gravel title went to Dutch rider Femke Markus, who dominated the sprint from the three-rider group that battled for victory in the final stages of the race. Her compatriot Shirin van Anrooij took second place, while France’s Axelle Dubau-Prevot completed the podium in third.
Silvia Persico was also expected to take the start, but a health issue in recent days prevented her from competing today.
