Another strong performance for young British rider Abigail Miller of UAE Development Team, who sprinted to an excellent fourth place today at the GP Mazda Schelkens in Belgium.
The race covered 134.1 kilometres, starting and finishing in Borsbeek, on a circuit repeated several times throughout the day.
Despite numerous attacks and breakaway attempts during the race, the peloton managed to bring everything back together ahead of the final sprint. In the bunch finish, Dutch rider Charlotte Kool (Fenix-Deceuninck) took a convincing victory ahead of Maggie Coles-Lyster (Human Powered Health) and Mylène de Zoete (Fenix-Deceuninck), while UAE Development Team’s Abigail Miller crossed the line in fourth place after another impressive display against a high-level field.
The result confirms the positive form shown by the young British rider in recent weeks and adds another encouraging performance for UAE Development Team.
Meanwhile, Scottish rider Eilidh Shaw was involved in a crash during the race and was taken to hospital for medical examinations. Fortunately, medical examinations have ruled out any fractures.
