The 12th edition of the Baloise Ladies Tour got underway today, July 16th, 2025, with a short but explosive 3.1 km prologue in Yerseke, the Netherlands.
Zoe Bäckstedt (Canyon–SRAM) delivered a brilliant ride to take the stage win, stopping the clock at 4’06”, one second ahead of Ellen van Dijk (Lidl–Trek) and Charlotte Kool (Picnic PostNL). With this performance, Bäckstedt also claimed the first leader’s jersey of the general classification.
Our riders showed determination and strong legs on a fast, technical course – a solid start as the team looks ahead to the coming stages.
Tomorrow’s Stage 1 takes the peloton from Jabbeke to Knokke-Heist over 127.2 km. It’s expected to be a flat and tactical day, where the team will aim to stay competitive and seize every opportunity to shape the race.
