UAE Team ADQ and UAE Development Team‘s young talents continue to shine at the 2026 UEC Track Juniors & Under 23 European Championships, currently taking place at the velodrome in Cottbus, Germany.
Following Federica Venturelli’s victory in the Women’s U23 Individual Pursuit, another gold medal has been secured yesterday by Magdalena Leis, who claimed the Women’s U23 Team Pursuit title representing Germany.
The German squad, featuring Magdalena Leis alongside Messane Bräutigam, Seàna Littbarski-Gray and Pia Grünewald, with Hannah Kunz as reserve rider, defeated Belarus in the gold medal final to become the new European champions. Poland completed the podium by taking the bronze medal.
The result is another important milestone for UAE Development Team, highlighting once again the strength of its development programme and the outstanding potential of its young riders on the international stage.
Magdalena Leis said: “It was simply a fantastic day, marked by strong team spirit and excellent teamwork. It’s always a pleasure to win together, so I was truly delighted to share this moment with these lovely girls. We’d been dreaming about this for a long time, and being able to say that we’ve achieved this goal is wonderful”.
