A great result for Rinata Sultanova of the UAE Development Team, who claimed an impressive victory today in the Individual Time Trial at the Asian Continental Championships in Unaizah, Saudi Arabia.
Racing in the colours of her national team, Kazakhstan, Sultanova delivered a powerful performance aboard her Colnago time trial bike, wearing the aerodynamic MET helmet supplied by her team. With this victory, Rinata returns to the top step of the continental podium in the time trial event, reclaiming the Asian title four years after her previous success.
It was also a positive day for the teammate Safiya Alsayegh, who represented the United Arab Emirates and finished in a solid seventh place, confirming her continued progress at continental level.
Both riders will be back in action on Sunday, when they will line up for the Road Race at the Asian Continental Championships.
