Alena Amialiusik and UAE Team ADQ, One More Year Together

Alena Amialiusik and UAE Team ADQ have decided to continue their journey together for another year. The 36-year-old rider, born in Belarus but living in Italy for many years now, will wear the Emirati team’s jersey also in the 2026 season.

It will be her fourth consecutive season with UAE Team ADQ, where she will keep contributing with her experience and performance. A reliable and respected rider in the peloton, Amialiusik has been a key element in many of her teammates’ victories, most recently in Elisa Longo Borghini’s triumph at the Giro d’Italia Women. When given the opportunity, she has also achieved strong personal results, such as her recent podium finishes at the Giro Toscana Internazionale Femminile.

Alena Amialiusik is aware that these are the final years of her career, but she still feels she has something valuable to give to the sport: “First of all, I still really love riding my bike and I enjoy racing and winning together with my team,” said the rider, who claimed victory at the 2015 European Games in Baku. “We have a fantastic team, and I feel privileged to be surrounded by such nice people.”

Over the years, the team has helped her grow, and she has helped the team as well: “Together with the team I have improved in many ways, I’ve become calmer, more mature, and more experienced. Here I found new friends and people I can truly trust. I really enjoy my role in sharing my experience with our younger riders, and I feel I still have a lot to give to my teammates.”

The 2026 season will mark Amialiusik’s fourteenth as a professional cyclist, and she already has clear goals for the future: “I want to start the new season in the best way, be a loyal teammate as always, and give 100% of myself. I really like how our team is evolving, and I genuinely believe that soon we will become the number one team in the world and make history by taking women’s sport to the next level. We already have the mission of promoting women’s cycling and sport in the United Arab Emirates, and I am very proud to be part of this change and this great project.”

Melissa Moncada, President of UAE Team ADQ, added: “Since joining the team almost four years ago, Alena Amialiusik has brought all her experience and passion for the sport. We can only thank her for the athlete and woman she has become, also thanks to the journey she has shared with our team. We are delighted that we can count on her for another season, and she will continue to be a key figure in the growth of our younger talents.”
