UAE Team L’IMAD placed two riders inside the top 10 on the third stage of the Lloyds Tour of Britain Women, a 104.7-kilometre race from Mold to The Great Orme.
Karlijn Swinkels finished eighth, closely followed by Eleonora Gasparrini in ninth place after the demanding uphill finish.
The stage was won by Mauritian champion Kim Le Court-Pienaar (AG Insurance – Soudal Team), who launched a decisive attack on the final climb and rode clear of her rivals to take the victory.
Le Court-Pienaar now leads the overall classification. For UAE Team L’IMAD, Swinkels sits sixth overall, 42 seconds behind the race leader, while Gasparrini is ninth at 51 seconds.
The race continues tomorrow with Stage 4, covering 138.3 kilometres from Llanidloes to Hay-on-Wye.
