Federica Venturelli claims third medal at the Konya European Track Championships

The final day of racing at the UEC Track European Championships in Konya brought more joy for Italy and for UAE Team ADQ, as Federica Venturelli secured a bronze medal in the Madison, racing alongside Elisa Balsamo.

For Venturelli, this result marks her third medal of the championships, capping off an outstanding European campaign and highlighting her consistency, versatility and continued development on the track.

The race was dominated by the Belgian duo of Lotte Kopecky and Jasperina Bossuyt, the only pair able to gain a lap on the rest of the field. Behind them, the battle for the remaining podium places was extremely tight. Katy Archibald and Anna Morris of Great Britain claimed the silver medal with 27 points, while Balsamo and Venturelli finished just one point behind on 26, earning a well-deserved bronze.

Venturelli’s performance was particularly notable given her long absence from the Madison. Her previous appearance in the discipline dated back to her junior years, at Cottbus, a race that ended with a crash and a broken wrist and led her to step away from the event. In Konya, she returned to the Madison with confidence and determination, playing a key role throughout the race.

This bronze medal brings an excellent European Track Championships to a close for Federica Venturelli, confirming her ability to perform at the highest level on the track and underlining the strong development pathway within UAE Team ADQ.
