UAE Team L’IMAD is delighted to announce the signing of Pfeiffer Georgi, who will join the team from the 2027 season on a three-year contract.
The 25-year-old British rider arrives with an impressive résumé built across eight seasons as a professional. A three-time British national champion, Georgi has also stood on the podium at Paris-Roubaix Femmes and claimed victory at Brugge-De Panne, establishing herself as one of the riders particularly suited to the toughest and most demanding one-day races of the calendar.
Her arrival at UAE Team L’IMAD represents an important new chapter in her career. After spending her entire eight-year professional career with the same team, Georgi is now ready for a new environment and believes the move can provide the ideal conditions to rediscover her best level, continue her development and fully express her potential.
“I have been in the same team for my eight years as a professional and am excited to enter a new environment at this point in my career,” says Georgi. “I have gained a lot of experience and I am now looking to develop further as a rider.”
The British rider has followed the growth of UAE Team L’IMAD closely in recent years and sees the team as the right environment for the next stage of her journey.
“I have seen the development of the team over the last few years and the depth of success it’s had. I wanted to be in a place where I can reach my full potential and I believe UAE Team L’IMAD is the best place for that.”
Born and raised in a cycling family, Georgi started riding at just four years old on the velodrome in London, following in the footsteps of her father, who also raced.
Her passion for cycling has since developed into a career built around a particular affinity for the Classics. Short, steep climbs, cobbles and difficult weather conditions are the terrain where she feels most at home, while Paris-Roubaix holds a special place in her heart.
“I love the Classics and think the nature of them, with short, punchy climbs, cobbles and bad weather, suits me well,” she explains. “I definitely have a passion for one-day races and my favourite race is Paris-Roubaix.”
The opportunity to join UAE Team L’IMAD also brings new ambitions. Georgi’s first priority will be to integrate into her new environment and build strong relationships with her teammates, before turning her attention to the Spring Classics.
“I am really excited to get to know all the girls and first want to focus on fitting into the team. My main goals in the first part of the season will be the Spring Classics.”
At the same time, Georgi is determined to broaden her range as a rider. Improving her climbing is one of her main objectives for the coming years, with the ambition of opening up new opportunities in races and becoming more competitive in longer stage races.
“I want to continue to improve my climbing ability to open up more opportunities in races and perform better in longer stage races.”
Melissa Moncada, President of UAE Team L’IMAD, welcomes Georgi to the team and highlights the opportunity represented by the partnership.
“Pfeiffer is a rider we have followed with great interest and who has already demonstrated her quality at the highest level, particularly in the Classics. She is still young, but she has accumulated important experience and has shown that she has the strength, character and talent to compete for the biggest victories. Driven and disciplined, Georgi describes herself as someone who enjoys the process of constantly striving to improve and become the best version of herself. These qualities will be an important part of her contribution to UAE Team L’IMAD, both on and off the bike.
Away from cycling, she enjoys cooking and baking and has a passion for drawing portraits.
With her experience, Classics pedigree and ambition to continue developing, Pfeiffer Georgi joins UAE Team L’IMAD with the opportunity to begin a new chapter and relaunch her career at the highest level. The three-year agreement reflects the team’s belief in her potential and its ambition to build the conditions for her to return to the forefront of the biggest races in women’s cycling.
