UAE Team ADQ delivered a commanding performance at the Trofeo Oro in Euro – Women’s Bike Race, held in Cinquale di Montignoso, Italy. Italian champion Elisa Longo Borghini claimed a solo victory after launching the decisive attack on the second ascent of La Fortezza, dropping all her rivals and riding alone to the finish.
Across the 106.8-kilometre course, the Emirati squad controlled the race from start to finish, ultimately placing several riders at the top of the standings. Behind the winner, Karlijn Swinkels finished 2nd, Dominika Wlodarczyk 3rd and Silvia Persico 4th, while Paula Blasi took 9th place and Erica Magnaldi 10th. All six UAE Team ADQ riders in the race secured a place in the day’s top-10.
As expected, the race remained under control during the first five flat laps, ridden at a consistently high pace with UAE Team ADQ firmly managing the situation at the front of the peloton. The action intensified in the final two longer laps, featuring the decisive climb of La Fortezza.

UAE Team ADQ immediately set out to make the race selective and, on the first ascent, imposed a hard pace that created a major split. At the front remained Elisa Longo Borghini together with teammates Silvia Persico, Karlijn Swinkels, Dominika Wlodarczyk and Paula Blasi, with only Puck Pieterse (Fenix–Premier Tech) able to match their rhythm.
In the following kilometres, the UAE Team ADQ riders launched a series of attacks and counterattacks in an effort to distance their rival. The decisive move came on the final climb of La Fortezza, when Elisa Longo Borghini, fresh from a fourth place at Strade Bianche the day before, accelerated decisively and powered away to claim her third victory of the season, completing a superb collective performance by the team.

On the same day, the team was also racing in Spain at the final stage of the Vuelta a Extremadura, where Australia’s Brodie Chapman finished 9th on the stage and secured 5th place overall in the general classification.
