Brodie Chapman Second at the 2026 Australian National ITT Championships

Brodie Chapman opened her 2026 season in impressive fashion at the Australian Road National Championships in Perth, finishing a close second in the elite women’s individual time trial. Although she couldn’t retain the national title she won last year, Chapman demonstrated excellent form and fighting spirit, missing out on victory by just 3.8 seconds over the 29.3 km course.

The race unfolded under challenging conditions with cool temperatures and strong winds, and saw rising star Felicity Wilson-Haffenden (Lidl-Trek) take her first senior national crown with a time of 40:15.71. Chapman rode a strong and consistent effort, closing a significant gap in the final kilometres and ultimately finishing just fractions behind the young Tasmanian rider.

Chapman’s performance highlights her continued strength against a rapidly improving field. Coming into the event as defending champion, she showcased resilience and power throughout the time trial, confirming her status among Australia’s top time trialists. Josie Talbot (Liv AlUla Jayco) completed the podium in third.

While missing out on back-to-back titles, Chapman’s second place is an excellent start to her season and a promising sign ahead of upcoming races on the calendar.
