Lara Gillespie considers herself more than just a sprinter. She also has a good command over cobblestones and offroad.
The Irish rider is also excellent at track races. Thanks to her performances, the Irish national team won a historic qualification for the Olympics in Paris 2024 and twice finished fourth (team pursuit, omnium) at the Track European Championships. She won also a bronze medal at the Points Race at the UCI Track World Championships in Denmark and the Elimination Race in London at the UCI Track Champions League.
In 2024 Lara Gillespie won the Antwerp Port Epic Ladies in Belgium as well as 2 stages and the final classification at the Giro del Mediterraneo in Rosa.
In 2025, he achieved international recognition: he won the A Travers les Hauts de France road race, numerous other placings and, above all, a European title and a world title on the track.
