Sofia’s other major achievements include; placing 4th in the Ronde van Vlaanderen race (also known as The Tour of Flanders), an annual road cycling race held in Belgium every spring. The most important cycling race in Flanders, it is part of the UCI World Tour and organized by Flanders. Sofia enjoys being outdoors and not just on a competitive cycling level, she believes that life itself is a gift. Apart from enjoying the simplicities of life, such as time by the water, visiting family, and a good Italian pizza, Sofia engages in activities such as gardening and cooking to bring her joy. Sofia adopts a ‘realist approach’ to life which is evident in her outlook. She is logical, patient, but precise and attributes her character to the most influential person of her life, her grandfather. With one goal in mind, and that is to win, Sofia doesn’t believe in failure, only the lesson learned.
