A hot and dusty Paris-Roubaix Femmes

Under almost summer-like temperatures, the 2025 edition of Paris-Roubaix Femmes offered a dramatic and demanding day of racing across the legendary cobbles of Northern France. The relentless pace and tough conditions made it a true test of strength, skill, and endurance for all riders involved.

UAE Team ADQ rose to the challenge, showing grit and determination throughout the race. Irish rider Lara Gillespie delivered a strong performance, staying with the front group of favourites until around 20 kilometres from the finish, when the race broke apart under the decisive attack of eventual winner Pauline Ferrand-Prévot (Visma – Lease a Bike).

Gillespie crossed the finish line in 18th place, part of the second chasing group – a commendable result in her debut at the Hell of the North. Teammate Elynor Bäckstedt also completed the demanding race, finishing further back after a long battle on the cobbles.
