UAE Team ADQ could not have hoped for a better start to the 2025 racing season.
Brodie Chapman clinched the Australian National Individual Time Trial Championship in stunning fashion, marking her debut race in the Emirati team’s colors with an amazing victory.
The Australian rider delivered an exceptional performance on the 28.8-kilometer circuit in Perth, located in southwestern Australia. Chapman secured the top spot with a time of 39:53. Her dominance was underscored by a 32-second gap to runner-up Amber Pate (Liv Alula Jayco) and a one-minute advantage over third-placed Anya Louw (AG Insurance – Soudal Cycling Team).
A delighted Chapman reflected on her victory, saying: “I’m really happy with this win. I owe a huge thank you to UAE Team ADQ. Having my time trial bike position, set-ups already dialed in and various tests, even on the track, done so early in the season is not something to be taken for granted. I think that made the difference for me today. I had the best equipment possible, so my job was just to focus on pushing the pedals.
Starting the season with such an intense effort is certainly not easy, but I have to say I received amazing support from my family, many friends, and my boyfriend who all came from Sydney to cheer me on. Together, we did a fantastic job, and I’m so grateful to them and to my team. I’m thrilled to have won this race and to be able to wear the Australian champion’s jersey with my new team in many more time trials to come.”
Chapman, 33, is set to compete again on Sunday, January 12, in Perth, this time in the road race of the Australian National Championships.
