Dominika Wlodarczyk Triumphs at La Picto – Charentaise

A fantastic solo victory for Polish rider Dominika Wlodarczyk marked another successful day for UAE Team ADQ on French roads. Just 24 hours after Paula Blasi’s win, the Emirati team celebrated again with a powerful team performance at La Picto – Charentaise.

The 135 km race from Poitiers to Châtellerault saw UAE Team ADQ in control once again. The team worked hard throughout the day, paving the way for Wlodarczyk – former Polish national champion – who launched a decisive move that surprised the peloton and earned her first victory of the 2025 season. The team’s strength was further underlined by Karlijn Swinkels finishing 8th and Lara Gillespie 9th.

Here’s how the winner, Dominika Wlodarczyk, described the day: “Second day of racing in France was a bit easier on paper, but with strong wind we expected a tough battle. We tried to create some echelons, but in the end everything stayed together until the local laps. With two laps to go, after Paula’s great work, I attacked. First I joined another rider at the front, and then I went solo. I’m so, so happy I could finish off all the hard work we put into this race! From the girls to the staff – everyone was simply amazing and I couldn’t be more proud of us! Now I’m ready for my very first Tour – I can’t wait!”
