For the fifth time in her career, UAE Team ADQ’s Emirati rider Safiya Alsayegh has confirmed herself as both the national time trial and road race champion of the United Arab Emirates.
Just one week after winning the individual time trial, she repeated her success in the road race at the UAE Cycling National Championships, claiming victory in Nazwa, in the Emirate of Sharjah, at the end of a 66-kilometre competition.
Another goal achieved for Safiya Alsayegh, who, as every year, targets the National Championships as one of the key objectives of her season. With the support of her team, she prepared thoroughly for these two important races at home, which will now allow her to keep wearing the jersey with her country’s flag. Her victories further establish her as a leading figure in the Emirati cycling movement.
Now, Safiya will enjoy these two important achievements before continuing her training and returning to Europe in a few weeks to gain more international experience alongside her UAE Team ADQ teammates.
