For the fifth time in her career, Safiya Alsayegh has secured victory in the individual time trial at the UAE National Cycling Championships.
Racing over a 20-kilometre course today in Nazwa, in the Emirate of Sharjah, the UAE Team ADQ rider delivered a strong performance to take the win once again.
This result marks an important confirmation for Safiya, who consistently targets the National Championships as a key goal in her season. After a focused preparation for this first major test of the year, and with the support of her team and her Colnago bike, she proudly stood on the top step of the podium once more.
Her next challenge will come in the Road Race at the UAE National Championship, scheduled for Sunday, April 20, also in Nazwa. The road race will take place over a 66-kilometre course.
