Sofia Bertizzolo claimed a solid ninth place at La Classique Morbihan, the second race of the three-day cycling block in Brittany. The race started and finished in Josselin, covering a total distance of 112.6 kilometers.
It was another strong performance from the team in what proved to be a tense and technical race. The day also marked the return to racing for Karlijn Swinkels, adding another positive note for the team.
Unfortunately, Eleonora Gasparrini was forced to abandon the race following a crash. Thankfully, initial checks suggest there were no serious injuries – just some bruising. We wish her a quick and full recovery.
In the final part of the race, the team worked hard to position Sofia Bertizzolo for the sprint. Despite not having her best legs on the day, the Italian rider still managed to secure another valuable top-10 finish.
