UAE Team ADQ at the Navarra Women’s Elite Classic

UAE Team ADQ was in action today at the Navarra Women’s Elite Classic, held in Pamplona, Spain.

Starting and finishing in Pamplona, the race covered 134.4 km. It began under sunny skies but ended in heavy rain, adding an extra challenge to an already demanding course.

There were numerous attacks throughout the day, with our riders consistently active at the front, playing a key role in shaping the race.

As the terrain and worsening weather took their toll, the lead group thinned out. In the decisive phases, Karlijn Swinkels, Brodie Chapman, and the young Paula Blasi remained in contention for UAE Team ADQ. Blasi and Chapman both launched attacks in the final kilometers, but the race ultimately came down to a sprint finish.

A crash on the final descent took Paula Blasi out of contention. Earlier in the day, another crash had involved Sofia Bertizzolo.
Fortunately, neither suffered any serious consequences.

Victory went to young British talent Cat Ferguson (Movistar Team), who outsprinted Soraya Paladin (CANYON//SRAM Zondacrypto) and Ruth Edwards (Human Powered Health).

Karlijn Swinkels was just outside the top 10 in the final classification.
