UAE Team ADQ renews partnership with ADQ: continuing sporting excellence and female empowerment

After four years of shared growth, success, and vision, UAE Team ADQ, is proud to announce that it has confirmed renewal of its partnership with ADQ, an active sovereign investor with a focus on critical infrastructure and global supply chains, as a Title Sponsor to the team. This renewal reaffirms ADQ’s long-term commitment to supporting women’s cycling and promoting the values of excellence, inclusion, and empowerment. The new agreement was signed this week in Bergamo, coinciding with the start of the Giro d’Italia Women, and will see ADQ continue its support of the UAE women’s team for the next three years.

Since 2022, ADQ has proudly supported UAE Team ADQ, driven by a firm belief in the power of women’s sport to foster community development, promote personal well-being, and strengthen global connection. Over the past four seasons, under the leadership of Melissa Moncada, the team has emerged as a leading force in the international peloton – delivering strong performances on the road and creating meaningful impact beyond the races.

With ADQ’s support, the team has achieved remarkable milestones: stage victories at the Giro d’Italia Women, wins in the Belgian Classics, and most notably, the historic Olympic qualification of Safiya Alsayegh, who will become the first Emirati female cyclist to compete at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

Anas Albarguthi, Group Chief Operating Officer at ADQ, said: Our partnership with UAE Team ADQ goes beyond competition. Together, we are building a global platform that empowers women through sport, inspiring them to pursue their goals, build confidence, and discover new opportunities through cycling. This commitment also reflects our efforts at home, where we continue to support the growth of a strong and connected cycling community across the UAE.

Melissa Moncada, President of UAE Team ADQ, added: “From day one, ADQ has been by our side, and together we have believed in and shaped this project. We still have many goals to achieve, and thanks to the support of such a prestigious partner like ADQ, which represents several of our country’s key excellences, we are confident we can reach them and allow our project to continue growing.”
