In the third stage of the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana, covering 118 km from Sagunt to Valencia, Eleonora Gasparrini achieved an impressive fourth place in the sprint.
Also today the team employed an aggressive strategy, with France’s Maeva Squiban launching an attack approximately 30 km from the finish, alongside Mireia Benito (AG Insurance – Soudal Team) and Amber Kraak (FDJ – SUEZ). The peloton reeled in the breakaway just over 1 km from the line.
The stage culminated in a sprint finish, where Italy’s Elisa Balsamo (Lidl-Trek) claimed victory.
Brodie Chapman retains the Polka Dot Jersey as the QOM leader, while UAE Team ADQ was recognized as the best team in the day’s classification.
The final stage is scheduled for tomorrow: Stage 4, Elx – Alacant (km 132.5).
