The fourth and final stage of the Vuelta Ciclista Andalucia gave a good third place to Alena Amialiusik, who took part in the Spanish stage race over the last four days with Lizzie Holden and the UAE Development Team riders.

It was a positive experience for the experienced rider from the East, who put her wealth of experience at the service of the younger riders, who at the same time supported her with great commitment. Today Amialiusik was back on the podium of a race, a podium place that she had been missing since her third stage finish at the Tour de France Femmes 2022. A very positive experience for her already seventh on Thursday in the second stage and close to the top 10 in the GC.

Today Alena, together with the young Carlotta Cipressi, were part of the group of more than 20 riders that took advantage and then sprinted for victory after 100.2km at the finish line in Pizarra.

Alena Amialiusik is happy about the podium and the performance: “I am very happy about this podium and especially about participating in this race with the Development Team because our young riders are very good and I had a lot of fun racing with them. They are really good girls, with a lot of desire to race and very talented. As for me, I was very happy to participate in this stage race after a break in the middle of the season. All the stages have been very hard here in Andalusia, today this opportunity presented itself and I took it. I sprinted as best I could and it's always nice to be back on the podium. I'm happy”.
