Bujak is Slovenian champion again. Bronze for Pintar. Zanetti silver in Switzerland in the WU23 Race.
UAE Team ADQ celebrates winning another national title. After the two won in Spain by Mavi Garcia a few days ago, Eugenia Bujak was today confirmed as the Slovenian national champion in the road race.
Thirty-three years old yesterday, Eugenia gave herself a wonderful birthday present. She beat Spela Kern (Massi - Tactic Women Team) and bronze medal for the other Slovenian of the UAE Ursa Pintar.
Eugenia Bujak tells us how the race went: "Because we don't have many Elite riders in Slovenia, today we competed together with the junior men, which made the race more difficult because they are recing aggressively and this created several problems throughout the race. Also, some of them have less technical experience and this caused crashes, in one of which I was also involved in the first lap and after the climb I was forced to change bikes. The race was fast and I felt good. Urša and I wanted to help each other and keep the jersey in the team. It was nice to defend the National champion's jersey, but it wasn't easy".
Another medal was won by Linda Zanetti, who took silver medal in the road race of Swiss National Championships for Under-23 Women. It was the second medal for the Swiss girl, who had already won silver in the ITT.
In the Italian Championships, which featured a completely flat course, no major results came for the girls of the Emirati team. The week of the National Championships ended with a haul of three gold, three silver and two bronze medals for UAE Team ADQ.
