23-year-old Dominika Wlodarczyk from Poland has proven her talent in her debut season with UAE Team ADQ. After an impressive start to the year in Australia, where she secured second place and finished in the top five at the Santos Tour Down Under, a crash in Spain sidelined her for several weeks. However, with remarkable determination, she made a strong comeback, ultimately winning the Polish National Road Race Championships.

In addition to this national title, Wlodarczyk claimed the Mountain Classification at the Princess Anna Vasa Tour and achieved numerous top 10 finishes at the Tour de l'Ardèche. These standout performances earned her a spot at the 2024 UCI World Championships in Zurich, further underscoring her potential.

UAE Team ADQ has immense faith in Wlodarczyk’s abilities and remains committed to supporting her development as a world-class cyclist. In recognition of her talent and potential, the team has extended her contract through the 2028 season.

“The 2024 season was full of ups and downs. It was my first year competing at WorldTour level and with the team, so many things were completely new to me,” Wlodarczyk said.

“It’s always challenging to adapt to a new environment, but I’m incredibly proud of myself. I approached racing at the highest level without fear or unrealistic expectations, my only goal was to be the best version of myself.”

“The early season in Australia showed that my hard work was paying off, but the serious concussion during Setmana Valenciana reminded me how unpredictable life can be. The recovery was long and mentally tough, but I’m proud that I never gave up. Riding and finishing my first Grand Tour, the Giro d’Italia, was a huge achievement. This year has been amazing, I’ve learned so much from my teammates and the team staff, who have been incredibly supportive. My goals for 2025 remain the same: to be the best version of myself and believe more in my abilities,” Wlodarczyk added.

Melissa Moncada, President and Head of UAE Team ADQ, expressed the team’s confidence in Dominika: “We had great faith in Dominika’s talent, and she certainly proved us right this year. Despite the accident that kept her off the bike for several weeks, she had a very positive season. We’ve seen her grow physically and tactically, and from the start, she achieved impressive results.”

“Her transition to the WorldTour was seamless, and she quickly adapted to our team environment and her new teammates. Her victory in the Polish National Road Race was a highlight of the year and a testament to her strength and resilience. Dominika is a talented and dedicated rider, and we believe she has all the qualities to become a top athlete in both the Classics and stage races. She is still young, but we’re confident she will become a key pillar of our team in the years to come,” Moncada concluded.
