Eleonora Gasparrini celebrated her third personal victory of the season by winning the Women's Cycling Grand Prix Stuttgart & Region in Germany.

After her bronze medal at the WU23 European Championships, Eleonora Gasparrini today celebrated her third personal victory of the season by winning the Women's Cycling Grand Prix Stuttgart & Region in Germany in a sprint. A success that crowns the work of the entire team.

After 118.2 km from Böblingen to Stuttgart, the Italian left Lieke Nooijen (Team Visma | Lease a Bike) and Mareille Meijering (Movistar Team) behind. Dominika Wlodarczyk, who was very active throughout the race, also finished sixth.

Also in the race were teammates Safiya Alsayegh, who adds another important European experience to her CV, Erica Magnaldi and the young UAE Development Team riders Hannah Kunz and Beatrice Caudera. Excellent teamwork for all of them.

After the victory Eleonora Gasparrini said: “Today the team was amazing. From first to last my teammates were very good, from the start controlling and closing in on the breakaways. In the circuit we always stayed in front. In the final there was still Lach in front, so we tried to set a strong pace on the last climb with Dominika and then on the last climb they attacked again and that's when I made my move. There were three of us left and I sprinted as best I could. I'm really very happy”.

The team was also busy today at the Grand Prix International d'Isbergues - Pas de Calais Féminin, 131.6 kilometres with start and finish in Isbergues, France. A seventh place came for Chiara Consonni.

Karolina Kumiega was awarded as the winner of the final KOM classification of the race.
