UAE Team ADQ continues to strengthen its roster for the 2025 season by signing Greta Marturano.

UAE Team ADQ continues to strengthen its roster for the 2025 season by signing Greta Marturano, a 26-year-old Italian climber from the Lake Como area. Marturano, who has spent the past two seasons in the WorldTour with Fenix-Deceuninck, has gained valuable experience and has proven to be a reliable and consistent rider, always focused on team goals.

For this reason, UAE Team ADQ has chosen to include her in its roster for the 2025 season as an important support rider, especially in tough and stage races. She has signed a two-year contract for the 2025-2026 seasons.

This year, Greta secured a top ten finish at the Italian National Road Championships and stood out in several stage races while supporting her team’s leaders.

“I chose to join UAE Team ADQ for the next two seasons because I really like their team spirit. They race united, always working together to achieve the best possible result. I love this team-first approach that I’ve observed over the years. Plus, having top-level athletes by my side will be a huge motivation for me to give my best,” said Greta Marturano.

Surrounded by cycling from a young age – both her parents were involved in a youth cycling team –Greta’s path in the sport was almost inevitable. She started cycling at the age of six, dreaming of becoming a professional cyclist. Joining UAE Team ADQ is another significant step in her career and personal growth.

“As a rider, I’m a climber, but I also enjoy rolling terrain. However, I perform best on tough routes: the harder they are, the better. In these conditions, I have a greater chance of achieving a strong result in a reduced sprint,” she explained.

Reflecting on her recent season, Greta added: “The first part of the year went really well; we worked hard to achieve the best possible results. Unfortunately, after the Giro d’Italia, I faced some health issues that prevented me from performing at my best in the second half of the season. Now it’s time to rest, but I’m excited and ready for this new adventure with UAE Team ADQ.”

Looking ahead, Greta said: “I definitely want to work on my weaknesses and improve my strengths because I know I still have a lot of potential to develop. I’m ready to give my all and improve in every area. My main goal is to maximize my potential, as I’m confident this is the only way to achieve the best results and, most importantly, to support my teammates effectively. Of course, winning a race is always a goal, but we’ll see how the season unfolds.”

Melissa Moncada, President and Head of UAE Team ADQ, said: “Greta Marturano is a rider who shows strong dedication, resilience, and commitment to team effort. Though she often works behind the scenes, her contributions are essential to the team's success. We are confident that with our support, Greta will continue to grow as an athlete and find new opportunities, with the potential for personal achievements along the way.”
