After two stages' podium, Karlijn Swinkels won the General Classification of the AG Tour de la Semois.

Second consecutive podium for Karlijn Swinkels at the AG Tour de la Semois: after finishing third in yesterday’s first stage, today the Dutch athlete from UAE Team ADQ finished second in the race won by Thalita de Jong.

However, this second place has a very sweet taste. In fact, thanks to this result, Karlijn won the General Classification of the AG Tour de la Semois.

Once again, the riders led by Davide Gani raced intelligently: Francesca Pellegrini went into the breakaway with other riders, and in the finale, Karlijn took second place in the final sprint.

“I really enjoyed the race today,” said Karlijn Swinkels. “We had some girls in the breakaway, we were a little worried because there were also well-placed riders in the general classification. Fortunately, in the final we closed the gap, I gave it my all, and I’m happy. Winning the race was complicated, but I’m happy to have won the general classification.”
