Mavi Garcia finished on the third step of the final podium of the Giro Donne 2022. It is a great result for UAE Team ADQ's young history in women's cycling.

The Spanish champion was a great protagonist during these ten days of racing in Italy and right up to the last kilometer, together with the whole team, she defended this important placing behind the pink jersey Annemiek Van Vleuten (Movistar Team) and the Italian Marta Cavalli (FDJ).

In the bunch sprint that decided the last stage with finish line l in Padua, victory for Chiara Consonni (Valcar - Travel & Service) and fifth place for our Sofia Bertizzolo who brings another place to the Emirati team.

After the race, Mavi Garcia said: "I’m very happy. We managed to defend this third place on the final podium. It wasn’t easy today either because something can always happen and until I crossed the finish line I was not calm. It was only at that moment that I told myself we did it. These days we did a great job, not only me, but the whole team, I really have to thank my teammates and the staff a lot. I’m very happy to have defended this third position and now we look forward to the next races with confidence”.
