Paris 2024: Eugenia Bujak's ITT opens our Olympic Games

The first of our athletes to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games was Slovenian Eugenia Bujak.

Following last night's exciting opening ceremony in Paris, with Safiya Alsayegh becoming the first female cyclist in history to be part of the UAE Olympic delegation, the first of our athletes to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games was Slovenian Eugenia Bujak, who took part in the ITT race today. 

After 32.4 kilometres, the Slovenian finished in 16th place, 3:16 behind the winner Grace Brown (Australia).

Gold medal for the Australian, silver medal for the Briton Anna Henderson and bronze medal for the American Chloe Dygert.

The next appointment for women's cycling will be with the road race on Sunday, 4 August.
