The Setmana Ciclista Valenciana didn't start in the best of ways for UAE Team ADQ: the first stage of 113 km from Tavernes de la Valldigna to Gandia was characterised by a crash that forced Dominika Wlodarczyk to retire. She was transported to hospital for examination.

Erica Magnaldi, Eleonora Gasparrini and Anastasia Carbonari also crashed and were forced to chase the group. In the final sprint the best was Karolina Kumiega, 13th. The stage was won by Elisa Balsamo (Lidl-Trek).
