Giro d'Italia Women ended today with the eighth stage of 117 km from Pescara to L'Aquila.

It was another hot and very demanding day. The best of our riders was Eleonora Gasparrini, who finished in 17th place in the top group.
The last stage was won by Kimberley Le Court Pienaar (AG Insurance - Soudal Team), while Elisa Longo Borghini (Lidl-Trek) was able to take the pink jersey of Giro leader.
It ended a positive Giro for our team with a stage win and second place for Chiara Consonni, a third stage place for Erica Magnaldi and positive performances by the entire team.
