The Tour de France Femmes 2023 ended with the eighth stage, the 22.6km ITT in Pau, where our Olivia Baril finished with an excellent performance and a good seventh place.
The stage was won by European champion Marlen Reusser (SD Worx) with a time of 29:15 at an average speed of 46.359 km/h. Baril's delay was 1:18.
Second place for Demi Vollering, who made the yellow jersey of winner of the Tour de France Femmes definitively her own.
Erica Magnaldi and Silvia Persico finished in the top 15 in GC. We are proud of the effort put in by our girls in this magnificent edition of the ITT.
The Tour de France Femmes 2023 was very demanding from both a physical and mental point of view, a lot of stress in the group due also to some falls and the bad weather that did not spare the event on some days. The level proved to be very high, with very fierce teams and opponents. Our riders performed well, obtaining several results: the best was the third step on the podium achieved by Silvia Persico in the second stage of 151.7 km, from Clemont-Ferrand to Mauriac, at the end of a breathtaking narrow sprint. In the following days sprinter Chiara Consonni achieved a fourth place in the fourth stage in Rodez and a sixth place in the sixth stage in Blagnac. Also very positive was the seventh place obtained by Canadian Olivia Baril in the final ITT stage in Pau. Erica Magnaldi and Silvia Persico finished in the Top 15 of the GC won by Demi Vollering of SD Worx, one of the strongest athletes in the world.
A huge growth experience for our team and our riders who were also able to enjoy the affection of the thousands of fans along the French roads. A great celebration.
